I haven't written anything here about the show I write/direct with my good friend Ed Skudder at Six Point Harness animation studio. Mostly because it's called Dick Figures. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the web-series: it's about two stick figures, Red and Blue, who are jerks to each other (hence dick... figures. Yea we know it's not ideal).
Since November 2010, we have released 40 episodes across four seasons through Mondo Media (of "Happy Tree Friends" fame), a music video, several albums on iTunes, 100,000+ Facebook fans, 1.5 million subscribers on Mondo, and a wide variety of merchandise all spawned from a self-financed web-series about two stick figure best friends.
In 2011, the show was nominated for Best Animated Web Series for the IAWTV Awards and short-listed for the Webby's for Best Writing, Best Directing and Best Animated Series. On top of that, Dick Figures is the highest viewed and rated web-series on YouTube with over 175,000,000 views and climbing.
Recently, we just completed the highest funded animation ever on Kickstarter with over $310,000. With that money we were planning to just make a 30-minute episode, but instead, by pulling some strings and raising a bit more money are thrilled to announce that DICK FIGURES: THE MOVIE will now be a 70+ minute feature animated film.
Oscars, watch out.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
